FAQs
The most common questions
Do you offer free phone consultations?
Yes, the phone consultation is a chance to connect and see if we’re a good fit. I will ask about what brings you to therapy, your goals, your availability and what you hope to gain from our work together prior to scheduling a first session.
What can I expect during our first session?
During the first session, we’ll complete a biopsychosocial assessment—a conversation that helps me understand your background, current challenges, and strengths by exploring biological, psychological, and social factors that may be affecting your well-being.
How long is each session?
Each teletherapy session lasts about 53 minutes. You’ll meet with me through a secure, HIPPA compliant Telehealth platform.
How often will we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. My virtual therapy services can adapt to your schedule, whether you prefer weekly or biweekly meetings with your Massachusetts therapist.
What if I’ve never tried therapy before?
That’s completely okay — many people start therapy without knowing what to expect. Our first few sessions are about getting to know you, understanding what’s been challenging, and creating a space where you feel comfortable. You don’t need to have the “right” words or know exactly where to start — we’ll take it one step at a time together.
Can we talk about cultural or family expectations in therapy?
Definitely. Many clients usethe sessions to unpack how cultural and family expectations shape their identity, stress, or relationships. We’ll navigate these experiences with understanding and compassion.
